Hi, I'm Cassie!

Welcome to the weird and wonderous corners of my mind.

I am a self taught surrealist artist, warping my experience of this crazy world into colourful, acrylic paintings.

I was born in Melbourne Australia, but through the wild circumstances of life, I now live and breathe in Wisconsin USA.

Im a mum of two cats, a lover of nature, but above all I am a life long creative.

My drive to create art has been all consuming for as long as I can remember. I was always a whimsical kid - obsessed with the fairies that lived under forest mushrooms and the unique worlds I would create in my head. I grew up with a single mother - an artist who would cover every inch of our house in strange and often surreal designs. As a young child I was constantly painting and creating beside her. I eventually grew up to become a hair stylist who constantly craved a creative challenge at her day job. (A job I eventually got bored of and quit)

Now settling into my 30's, I have fallen in love with painting again, but even more so - surrealism.

Surrealism feels like a step back into childhood and an escape from the harsh realities that reside in the adult world. My artwork is heavily inspired by these dark realities, with a distortion into something otherworldly.

My aim is to create art that's both healing for me as an artist, and for anyone out there struggling amidst the journey of being human.

We can't erase the pain in this world but we can mould it into something brighter!
